Waiting, 2018
For Liverpool Regeneration Project

In 2018 I was asked by Castle Fine Arts Foundry to create a temporary sculpture for a regeneration project managed by them in a run-down area of Liverpool near to the foundry.  The seven seated figures made from plaster, resin and real chairs were conceived as representing the limbo-like plight of many refugees and asylum seekers once they reach their destination.  The large concrete plinth, and even the figures themselves, became a seating area for the duration of the project as members of the public joined the sculptural figures in taking a seat.
