Time Worn is a wall based plaster sculpture constructed from segments of the sculpture Fuse that was first shown at Chichester Cathedral in 2022 as part of an exhibition called Together we Rise with members of the Royal Society of Sculptors. After Fuse was shown in two other locations, and deliberated weathered outside for a winter, it was deconstructed in the studio. The recovered sections of body cast, now aged and coloured, have now been reconfigured into the sculpture Time Worn as well as accompanying pieces. The elements have been allowed to make their mark, further ageing the surface of body casts that already recorded the ageing of the artists from whom the plaster sections were taken from. This work was consciously made with the Portland landscape in mind, the plaster contrasting with the stone of the land and human time being contrasted with deep geological time.
