This work is inspired by Chief Seattle’s remark that “What befalls the Earth befalls the sons of Earth” - a stark warning that is poignantly relevant to our time. The figures contain contradictions, both strong and vulnerable, fragmented and whole, beautiful and degraded, they reflect our core human condition and our response to the unstable and dangerous world we live in.
