Fault Lines III and I, 2026
Plaster, gesso, sand, acrylic
Life-size
These works draw a parallel between the Earth and the human body alluding to the fragility of both. With these fragments that are taken from the female body there is also a sense of ‘fault’ or criticism of non-standard beauty. With the fragments in this series taken from the male body the ‘fault lines’ refer to a sense of weakness that is traditionally not associated with masculinity.
